Dead Island 2 Pushed Back To 2016

Fans of Dead Island are going to have to wait a little longer for the game's sequel. Deep Silver announced yesterday that they were going to take extra time developing Dead Island 2, pushing back its Spring 2015 release to 2016, in order to get it done right.

"We have always set ourselves a big goal for Dead Island 2: to create the sequel that takes Dead Island to the next level. A game that takes what our fans tell us they love about Dead Island – multiple different characters to play with, co-op, and turning a paradise setting into a zombie slaughter melee – and a game that adds a ton more content and combat options on top of that.

And we wanted to have all of that that done for release in Spring 2015.

We have been looking at the game long and hard, and we have decided we didn’t reach that goal we set out to achieve quite yet. This is why we have decided to delay Dead Island 2 to 2016.

Right now we are focusing purely on development, and we will have more info to share at a later stage.

We know that our fans will be disappointed by this news, but by giving Dead Island 2 more time we are confident that everyone will get a better game to play as a result."

Death Troopers Launch a Halloween Attack In Star Wars: Commander

Halloween just wouldn't be the same without zombies on the loose, so the makers of Star Wars: Commander have unleashed Death Troopers into the mix for a new campaign called "The Sickness."

"The dead have risen for a new limited-time campaign called “The Sickness” in the popular mobile combat strategy game Star Wars: Commander. An army of Death Troopers has been unleashed on Dandoran due to an outbreak at a secret Imperial research facility. Commanders will need to fight to survive and locate the source as the Rebellion, or keep things under wraps as the Empire. No matter which side a player is on, they will need to figure out a way of keeping this outbreak of undead troopers from spreading across the galaxy."

"The Sickness" is a limited-time campaign so hunt those zombie stormtroopers while you can.

Star Wars: Commander can be found in the App Store, Google Play store and the Windows Phone Store. More info about the game is available on StarWars.com.

The Zombie Virus Is Upon Us!

The world is rip for the rotting dead... and TOAST is letting them running amuck to spread their plague across the world in the new mobile game Zombie Virus.

And no, you are not fighting the relentless zombie hordes this time, you are helping them zombify the world.

Toast's description:

"A madman scientist with a fascination for diseases and plagues can only mean one thing: the zombie apocalypse!

With the new zombie virus spreading from North Korea to all corners of the world, the dead are rising from their graves with a taste for human flesh.  No city will survive the zombie tsunami as it devours brains, infects the children, and farms the fallen corpses into more walking dead to join the groaning army of rotting bodies.

Play as the deranged scientist with a mission for violence as you upgrade your virus, trigger chemical explosions, and infect every person on the planet!  The police, army, and super agents will send squads of zombie killers to stem your world domination plans, but with your own completely customizable undead crew, nothing can stop your dead march across the highway to hell!

With over 120 different types of zombies to choose from, anything that those puny humans throw at you will be swallowed up in the sweeping undead horror.  Crush their last stand with hulking zombie wrestlers, slice through their defenses with an undead warrior, or vomit the virus with walking dead rednecks.  Each zombie in your arsenal is unique with special abilities you'll need to complete the zombie apocalypse and turn Earth into a churning, decaying graveyard."

Zombie Virus is available now for iOS and Android.
