New On DVD: Zombie A-Hole

"From the psycho that brought you The Puppet Monster Massacre"... Zombie A-Hole is brand new on DVD.

Directed by Dustin Mills and starring Jessica Daniels, Josh Eal and Brandon Salkil, Zombie A-Hole is a micro budget independent horror film that was reportedly shot for an estimated $3,000 and describes itself as "an action packed zombie slasher flick with grindhouse attitude".

"Zombie A-Hole takes place in a world that's a bit different from our own. A realm that teeters on the edge of sleaze and comic book stylized awesomeness. Its Planet Terror meets Sin City meets The Good The Bad & The Ugly. All the men are hard-asses, and all the women are bombshells. Just because vengeance is your way of life doesn't mean you can't look damn sexy while you dole out hearty doses of whoop-***. Everything is just a bit bigger and more interesting than their real life counterparts. This is a an exploitation flick with a southern gothic flair."

And it's hard to beat their marketing pitch - "Grab a copy and enjoy true independent insanity... also boobies... lots and lots of boobies."

Zombie A-Hole is available on DVD now.

New On DVD: Zombie Horror Fright Fest!

The horror anthology Zombie Horror Fright Fest! from Chemical Burn Entertainment, featuring four films and two shorts, is new on DVD this week.

"Zombie Horror Fright Fest includes not one, not two, but FOUR Gut Munching Zombie flicks straight from the depths of HELL! This Zombie Gore Fest is guaranteed to have you hiding under the covers for the rest of your life! Horror fans have never enjoyed SO MUCH Zombie Carnage and Gore on one DVD. Be Warned! These four award-winning Zombie Masterpieces contain Explicit Gore and will give you nightmares for years to come!"

Based on the summariees of these flicks, here's what we know:

The Defiled: We Are All Meat takes us down the road of the post-apocalyptic zombie virus story as survivors become meat for the infected, undead cannibals.

Melvin is a revenge tale as a murder victim returns from the dead to take on his killers.

Fast Zombies With Guns has zombies. With guns. And they're fast. The only way that gets better is if they're strippers too (and we're not ruling out that there aren't a few).

Woods of Terror uses the always reliable 'kids in the woods' scenario to put three horror fans in the path of a zombie legend brought to life.

The two shorts are titled are Rise of the Living Corpse and Fitness Class Zombie.

Zombie Horror Fright Fest! is available on DVD now.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 Premiere - Deleted Scene

Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross just shared an alternate scene from the opening moments of the second season premiere of The Walking Dead.

"It is well known that instead of starting with Rick talking into his walkie-talkie and then the group being pretty much already out of Atlanta, the original plan for The Walking Dead’s season 2 premiere was to pick up just seconds after the CDC was blown to bits in the season 1 finale."

You can watch the clip right here.

This scene and other extras will be available on the Blu-ray and DVD editions of The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season on August 28th.
