New On DVD: Zombie Resurrection

New this week from Midnight Releasing is Zombie Resurrection, written and directed by Andy Phelps and Jake Hawkins, and starring Eric Colvin, Jim Sweeney, Danny Brown, and Simon Burbage.

"It has been 15 months since the zombie apocalypse. With no new infections for months, the zombies have decayed away; deteriorating to slow, disordered, toothless pests. A group of eight survivors are in the middle of a six-day march across the badlands. A faction splits away from the group and discovers a mysterious serene zombie that lays his hands upon one of the horde, who violently returns to life. Petrified, the resurrected man struggles to escape but is immediately re-devoured; a continual recycling of the horde that keeps them fresh and extraordinarily dangerous. Is this the answer to the zombie plague? A deadly balancing act develops between survival and heroism, in an increasingly splatter-ridden game of cat-and-mouse."

Zombie Resurrection is available now on DVD.

SICK: Survive the Night Is Coming Soon

Coming soon from Midnight Releasing is SICK: Survive the Night, directed by Ryan M. Andrews, and starring Christina Aceto, Robert Nolan, Richard Roy Sutton, and scream queen Debbie Rochon.

"Two years after the infection began, billions have died, Governments have collapsed and the human race is on the brink of extinction. Dr. Leigh Rozetta is a young, maverick scientist, who’s been living in a secret underground Government facility since the outbreak began. After constant failed attempts to find a cure, Leigh sneaks away to return to her parent’s house. On her way she crosses paths with Seph and Mckay, two militant survivalists, who only just barely escaped an attack from a group of infected. With nightfall close at hand, the three of them know they need to seek shelter, as the SICK are more active in the dark. Boarding themselves up in Leigh’s parents house, the plan is simple: survive the night. But with the SICK surrounding the house and their own tensions through the roof, they’ll be lucky if anyone makes it out alive."

SICK: Survive the Night will be available on DVD on January 6, 2015.
