A Zombie Hunter Finds Redemption On Survivor
CBS has just announced the cast of Survivor: Redemption Island and it includesa cast member who previously appeared in promos for Evike.com's Zombie Hunter game.
Stephanie Valencia, a 26 year old waitress from Long Beach, CA was called up to ship out to for duty on the Zapatera tribe. Back in 2005, Stephanie appeared in the Zombie Hunter trailer, a promo for the live action airsoft game, Zombie Hunter, that uses gas-powered BB guns.
Why does she think that she will win Survivor? "I'm strong, fast and smart. I can hold my own and I'm not a quitter." Furthermore, she tells EW.com that "I'm really good at looking cute, but I'm better at kicking ass when I have to.'' Sounds like she might fare pretty well during the zombie apocalypse as well.

Walking Dead DVD/Blu-ray Details Revealed
Anchor Bay Entertainment has issued a press release detailing the bonus features and extras that will be included on the upcoming home video release of AMC's The Walking Dead.
The hit zombie series' Complete First Season hits store shelves on March 8th and will available on DVD and Blu-ray. The MSRP's are $39.99 and $49.99 respectively. (The Walking Dead can be pre-ordered now for $25.99 on DVD and $31.49 on Blu-ray).

Cuba's first zombie flick - Juan of the Dead
CNN reports on Cuba's first zombie film...
An eerie silence hangs over Havana's main sea-front avenue as smoke drifts out of a lone abandoned car.
Suddenly, dozens of bloodied figures lurch into view, some with empty eye sockets, others dragging limbs behind them.
It's another day on location for "Juan of the Dead," Cuba's first zombie movie, a mix of camp gore and wry satire.
In this version, the communist government blames the zombie invasion on U.S.-backed dissidents intent on destabilizing the country.
New On DVD This Week: Fistful Of Brains
"Two hearts... One love... No chance!!!"
The ultra-low budget zombie Western Fistful of Brains, written and directed by Christine Parker, just saw its wide debut on DVD yesterday. Originally released in 2008, the film stars Jacqueline Martini, Conrad Osborne, Darrell Parker, Edward Warner and Chuck Williams.
"The town of Shadowhawk is overrun by zombies when it gets caught in a war between two mysterious brothers. One of the brothers has sold the townsfolk his “magical elixir” promising them immortality. What he doesn’t tell them is that he’s recruiting them for his zombie army, and they will develop an unquenchable hunger for human flesh!"
Brain Damage Films is handling distribution. Disc features include and audio commentary, blooper reel, a making of featurette, trailers and more.
Parker previously directed the 2007 low budget bunny-zombie gorefest The Forever Dead.
